This poster played an important role in raising awareness and increasing recruitment for Canada’s war effort. This poster not only is encouraging Canadian's to enlist but also to help the war effort in any way they can. This poster and posters like it helped in the mobilization of Canada's resources, countries need more then just an army to win a war. Wars cannot be won without the support of the people, that is the common view and this and many posters like it aided the government in fostering a sense of national unity. This poster is also styled in a way that many film posters were at the time to grab the attention of the young and able bodied men to join. This poster not only was used for communication from the government to its people but served as a crucial if not essential piece in shaping the war for Canada as a whole, not just on the battlefield.
